Ignition/Exhaust coming through my subs?

I can hear my exhaust coming through my subs. I looked up some other forum posts about this and most said that it's a bad RCA cable, but I replaced it and the sound still came through.

Pretty sure he has alternator whine from a ground loop issue.

Yes I have aftermarket exhaust. And call me stupid, but it's the only place I could really find, but it's grounded to the screw that holds the tail light in. That's where it was grounded when I got the car so I never really moved it.

With the car in park and you revving the engine up and down, does the noise go up and down in frequency with the rpm?

When it's idling it's the loudest. When I am driving or revving the engine it actually gets quiet. Sometimes it gets to the point that when I'm idling I have to yell for people to hear me.

Usually happens When you Ground to the Chassis.

javier is right, i would say that you just need to buy a ground loop isolator.

I would move that ground to somewhere on the chassis or atleast remove it, scrape all the surrounding metal down to bare metal and throw a ground loop isolator in.

Sounds like you have a piece of **** plastic car with a ****** chassis for grounding

its called a ground loop when you rev the engine it gets louder.

if you are running a pioneer headunit they are known for this and need to ground the shielding on the rca's. if not things you can do for free is make sure ur ground is really good amp to can and clean the battery terminals...
