I've been google searching and from what most people have said you cannot use most American cell phones in Korea or Japan... but one of my buddies recently picked up an Iphone clone I think its model number is P168 and he seems convinced he can use it over there. I'm not to familiar with cell phone networks but I believe they use quad-band and the US is still using 3g? Is there a phone that is compatible with both networks? I'm really diggin the P168 because its only $100 and does everything a real Iphone does and more.Like Japan, the networks of South Korean cell phone carriers utilize highly specialized CDMA technology. Unlocked GSM cell phones can not used there. If you are planning to visit South Korea, to rent a cell phone remains the most cost effect option.
Any help would be appreciated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
