I have a 1996 pontiac grand am.. And today when I was driving around my battery light kept blinking on and off... Does this mean my battery is going bad or is it my Alt that is going bad... My front battery is stock and kinda old but I have two Stinger SPV70's in the rear... Any help would be awsome

My votage at the back batteries use to read 14.10v while at idle but now it is reading 13.89v but when I turn my amp off it goes back up to 14.05v

I have known 3 pontiacs crap out. The Altys are a biothch to replace if its that. Take it to get checked
It has the 2.4L motor in it... The alt dosend look to bad to get to but it may just look like its easy...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif You know eveything always happens when Im broke or when everything else is going bad... I need to get my registration and inspection by the end of the month and the car needs new back brakes and front struts... and now probably a new ALT:crying:

Plus I have a power steering fluid leak... Im loosing a quart everytime I drive the dam thing

ya but if its charging at over 13 volts than its good, unless diodes are crapping out... I honestly think u are just having voltage drops and its throwing up that code... Eventually wen u get cash, i would do a HO alt from ohio gen, irragi, or even powermaster(if they make it for ur model)
