Help, battery clamp terminals arent working

Ok, I have an Odysssey PC1500 battery

It says it has "SAE top terminals". So I have some clamps that looked like they should work

Can someone help me here?

You'll have to get some smaller clamps! Or wrap some sheet metal around the posts to tighten the clamps up on them.

Or use the side posts if that battery has them.

those should work... just tighten them down more... are you getting them down all the way? they ought to be flush with the top of the battery post... if necessary use a hammer and gently tap them down onto the battery posts all the way... and then use a little muscle to tighten them

The battery terminals are different sizes, maybe you got the wrong one....?
