Help ASAP with amp

I have an Eclipse 36401 Amp and its currently wired to 4 coaxials. I just installed 2 front comps and wanted to just run those off my amp. On the back the amp has a switch that you can toggle between 4/3/2. I put it to 2 but I still have music coming out of my rear speakers. Do i need to wire the comps differntly as they are going into the amp? Thanks

remove a wire from the rear speakers should kill em.

Wait.... so if you go down to 2 you ONLY hear from the back? keep it at 4.... 4 as in your using all 4 channels......... maybe you switched the speaker wires from the front ones to the back...?

1.) Unhooking the rears will not do what i want. The amp right now is rated at like 50wRMS x 4 @ 4ohms. My comps can now handle like 110wRMS or so, so I wanted to only use the 2 channels for the fronts and have nothing in the rears, so while unhooking the rears would do that, there would still be power going to them correct?

2.) Basically I am wondering how to get it to 2 channels. Do i need to wire up the comps differently to the amp than they are right now which is how they were when all 4 speakers were being used? I do not want to use all 4 channels anymore since I will only be running a front pair. Do i need to bridge the wiring to the amp? If so how would I do that?
