Help another noob

Alright guys need your help on picking a sub and amp. Its been 15 years since my last setup and wanting to know whats good now a days. The best bang for your buck. I need a 10in sub (sealed) and multi-channel amp. i'll also be using the amp for a set of components and coaxials in the rear. I don't want to take up a lot of space in my 4runner thats why i want a muti-channel. i've got 400-600 to spend (dont mind buying used). i'll bump up my budget a little if it justifies the performance. The cheaper the better. The head unit i'll pick out later and according to my needs. Sub is gonna depend on how much room your gonna use Theres a ton of good choices same with the amp. But most multi channel amps aren't gonna produce a lot of power for the sub. Another option maybe to get a 4 channel. Run the front and sub off of it. And the coaxes off deck power

Thats why its so hard to pick now a days. Its not like the old days where only the main players put out quality stuff. Now its a lot of small companies that put out quality stuff for a good price.

How is soundcubed? I've been reading and a lot of people like their product and its priced in my range. I might just run my whole setup with them.

I was also thinking about running the sub and a mono by itself and picking up a small 4 channel for the comp and coaxial.

Like I said I didn't want to take up a lot of space ,thats why i'm going with a sealed plus i'm about sq right now, but I also want to get the right enclosure for the sub too.

Soundquebed is good. But not sealed. Most of the new subs like ported and some rather large boxes hit up one of the sub builders. Like Spl audio or hispl. They can build you a sub to fit your needs

I'm actually coming to la tomorrow I could prolly build a small 1.5^3 sealed box tonight and bring it. For $150 as for a sub I can send you one that would fit your needs. Or even bring one. But the your budget would be $350 less

I'm sure you can build a sealed box for a 10" fairly easy. All you need is a saw/jigsaw and a drill. We would be happy to provide you with designs when you decide on a woofer. How much power are you allocating to the woofer roughly? and what amp is it?

thanks for the response guys. I have no problem building my own box. its a sealed enclosure so its not like i need tunning. as on the woofer i'm not sure yet. I'm thinknig Dayton Ho, TCsound epic, JLw6 as some options for now. A friend of mine just told me he has a 12w7 laying around that I can use. It still needs a box for it though. I'm looking for more of a sql setup. Amp, i'm really looking at the American Bass ph-5100.

What's teh price on one of those AB 5 channels? I can't find **** for reviews on them, and there's no specs on their site.
