Help: Amp/Sub Selection

I need some advice on what brands/models to stay away from, and which ones I should be looking at (in my budget). Also which online stores have the best pricing. Here's what I am looking for:

Sub & Amp, Budget = $300 for all including shipping

Main goal is SQ, SPL is secondary

Sub Specs: 10" DVC (4 ohms per coil), needs to go in a sealed enclosure of .8 ft3, max depth of 5.25"

Amp Specs: 300-350 RMS, 2 ohms stable, mono, prefer class D

BTW this will be going in a 2005 Silverado extended cab (building box myself).
