Help Amp for JL 2 12w0

Sup all, Im sorta new to the forums. Been lurking around for a couple days. I guess I got some basic knowledge about car audio, and what is basically needed. As of now I got 2 JL 12w0's in a ported box. I've decided on gettin an alpine cda-9847 also. And now Ive gotta decide for an amp that will serve use in a most possible upgrade ( 3 12w6's or 2 12" XXX) Ive had my eye on the rockford fosgate 800a2 (old school ones) that I could probably get for around 180-250(my budget for now) on ebay. Or would it be even cheaper to go for the w3v2s? So for 1k+ watt amps... have any suggestions on reasonably priced really reliable companies? So im guessing getting the 800a2 RF amp wont cut it in the future? Thanks again for the quick response and the help really appreciate it.

But they do look sweet and are built rock solid. The 800a2 I had was benched at 960, and that was probably the least powerful one ive seen.

The 800a2 is a kilowatt amp ... However, you also have to take into consideration that it's a lot less efficient than today's class D amplifiers, so it would put a lot more strain on your electrical system than a class d amplifier with equivalent power output potential ... That's basically the only problem I have with it ...

Will an capacitor + a fan solve this problem? Or would I need something more?

no caps dont help on electrical drain they add more of a strain and a fan wouldnt help anything xcept keep the fan cool. jus buy aclass D amp and call it a day
