quik question i have a viper 1200 hooked up to 2 12"sl5 @ 1ohm, the connection for the + and - requires a special hookup when i hooked it up it was small so i kinda forced it in so just wondering if the rings touch each other would it bridge the ohms diffrent, its been runnin good but gets hot quik maybe the problem. Thanx A Lot Fellas.

I'm not sure what rings and circles you are talking about either, however if any of your outputs are shorted (touching) it is a problem. If the positive and negative of a channel are touching you are in fact presenting you amp with a 0 ohm load. I doubt it is stable to that level.

wires touching...that aint good mang...

um maybe a pic would greatfully help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

lol i know what the rings are, its just that i don know wat your talking bout. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

are you using 1 set of terminals? since you have 2 subs i would reccomend using both sets of terminals due to ease of use, the amp will read the 2 subs @ 1 ohm together.

also its not good to touch the neg and pos ends of the speaker wire together. maybe if you have a pic i can help you out.
