Help adding a second battery

I have 2 batteries. What i wanna do is put my Diehard Weatherlander under the hood of Hyundai Elantra GLS and run a positive lead of 2ga wire to my trunk to connect to my Optima Yellow top. The two amps i will be powering in my trunk are a Profile CA600 (150w x 2rms) and a modded mtx 1501d (1800ish at 1ohm). My mtx 1501d will be hooked up to a stinger 1.0 farad cap. My questions are:

1) Is the fact that the Yellow Top is deep cycle and the Diehard is not deep cycle going to give me problems?

2) Do I have to use a battery isolator? What exactly will an isolator do for me?

3) Are 2ga and 2/0 the same?

1) no

2) You can keep the battery under the hood from being drawn on to power the amps so you'll always have starting power.

3) in order of increasing size...

8 ga

4 ga

2 ga

1 ga

0 ga (1/0)

00 ga (2/0)

if you want some 2/0 pm me i got a big run of it if you want some

also i used a battery isolator great for just having the system bumping without the car on and then start the car right up no problems. i also have a YT in the back
