i need am amp to power them. i first bought an insignia car audio setup and the subs kept blowin so i bought them kenwood subs, but still have the insignia amp powering them. i wanna buy a better amp now to power em

I dunno what alpine he recommended.. but this would power them quite nicely wired to two ohms.

Certainly other options, but for a budget setup, which I'm taking you want, this would fit the bill.

the alpine may be more durable (in a daily) but the hifonics is "cooler" LOL

on a side note ive seen one of those kenwood subs get a little loud 146 or so.....

lol 'cooler' it doesnt need to be cool, it can look like a pile of shit but if it works good ill buy it. im not gonna be showing it off or anything.

id actually rather save some money....but if that hifonics would give me a lot better performance then i would def spend the $40 more for it....

You'd put 250 watts rms to each speaker from the alpine compared to 450 watts rms to each speaker from the hifonics.

Almost a doubling in power. Definitely worth it. Just set gains correctly so you don't blow them or clip them.

You know, probably so.

Only an extra $20 over the hifonics, and the quality would be worth it.

Puts it to $60 more than the alpine, but you'll have a quality amp that puts out plenty of power.

if you guys think it would make a big difference paying for the $250 amp then i guess i'll take your word. id rather save the money cuz i still gotta buy wiring and to get it installed.... is that what you guys would do? b/c again i really have no clue when it comes to this

if its not gonna make a big difference id rather just get the alpine and save $100 b/c i dont have to have the best sounding system u know what i mean.....

its what i would do, cause someday youll want to upgrade your subs and youll already have a nice amp to power them
