Help a cracka out ( Infinity Gold Amp/jeep Q's)

Ok so I have 4 alpine speakers and an Alpine head unit I bought to put in my 95 jeep grand cherokee with the Infinity Gold Amp. Keep in mind I know nothing about car audio and am trying to use the internet to teach me how to install them.

Now From what people have told me I cant just plop in my head unit and speakers I have to either Bypass the amp completely or buy some sort of converter thing for it. (because the amp is 2 ohms and the speakers are 4? )

First of all what is this converter peice people are tellin me and how do I go about installing it? Or would it be easier to bypass the amp ? or is what im hearing BS and i CAN just plug in my new Head Unit and speakers and not have to do any of that?

If theres any more info on this u guys could throw at me that u think i would need before i screw somethin up let me kno. As of right now this is all i know haha.

My suggestion...put the headunit in, and run wires from the stereo to each of the four speakers. Don't worry about trying to connect to the factory amp. They're never very good anyways.

I guess i have to do more learning before i can install this then haha. I dont know how to run wires from my stereo to the speakers. I was hoping it would be more of an unplug the old stuff and plug in the new stuf install.

i dont really know where to begin.

where's ur factory amp located?

u could always, bypass the amp there using the factory speaker runs...mind u it's probably like 18g speaker wire from the factory but it might save a great deal of time.
