skip the optima crap batteries, overpriced and weak. Sears diehard platinum are much better, they are rebadged odyssey batteries which are very good. You need 55 amp hours for every 1000 watts so 2 group 31s 100 am hour batteries and starter battery should be enough for a real 5k. 250 amp alt should be enough.
