lol just put a toggle swithc on it... grab ur dmm and find a 12v hot with the ignition turned on... then turn off ignition and make sure u dont have voltage anymore....

Problem you may see by using the antenna wire is that it may shut the amp off when you play a CD/MP3, some radios turn off power to that wire when not using the radio tuner to bring the antenna down cause your not using it. You dont really need the toggle switch, just tap the remote wire into the red (switched) wire for the headunit, then your amp will turn on/off with the key.

I listen to my mp3 player while at work occasionally with the car turned off. I want to be able to do that without draining the battery...which is why I want a toggle switch. ALSO tested what you said. The antenna comes up when the HU is turned on and back down when its turned off. If I listen to my player it doesn't change it.

you have a lot to learn....

first off all, that headunit DOES have a remote turn on.

i bet your headunit has a setting to run external amplifiers. check the headunit settings and see if there is anything for a subwoofer output. If there is, turn it on, and it should turn on both the remote on output and the rca output

and for the wut dmm lol comment, he was giving you advice on how to run a toggle switch properly.

I dont know what a dmm is...ALSO it has a preout for a amp but thats it. On the manual it shows that the blue wire isnt used...blue/white is antenna

There is two wires, a solid blue wire, and a blue wire with a white stripe.

one is antenna, one is remote.

a dmm is a digital multimeter, tests things like voltage, amperage, etc etc.

O that...got one in the building and the non digital one....well volt/amp meters.

Done and it works fine and im happy lol. Oddly I can turn the gain up to max without any noticeable disortion so im getting it a little above half to be on the safe side...getting it scoped Monday to be sure I dont blow em...depending on if the dude doesnt overcharge like the pricey crap in his shop...completely amazed @ how hard it hits...WELL first time ive actually been this close to something over 300 watts lol.
