Heard 2 soloX's+ 2 kx2500.1's at work today

Today at work (Circuit City), a guy came in to get his rear speakers replaced. He had a Caprice on 22"s, crazy paint, lambo doors, croc interior, etc... I open the trunk to get to the speakers and he had 2 soloX 12"s ported with 2 Kicker 2500.1's, and 2 stinger batts.

Before hearing it, I asked the guy about it. He said something along the lines of..."Don't nothin' hit that hard in all of North Carolina." Immedeitly I knew the guy didn't know much except how to spend money.

I then asked him if he ever competed with it, and he said a few times. I asked him what he hit and he told me 170 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif. I thought, hmm. He then went on to say when he competes he switches out boxes to a sealed one for comps, and rides around street beating with the ported box! A fellow installer and I were laughing quietly.

After the install, He let me hear it. I suppose the fact that it was a trunk car with no folding down seats had something to do with it, but to be honest, my MT with half of his power was louder.

if it matters a guy told me that with 4 L7 12s that he hit 186 dbs SEALED.... i dont see that hapnin.... but people talk shit like that all the time... like me i hit 200 dbs sealed with an underpowered Type-e.... see how easy it is? this is where sombody just gets a smack in the face for lying/being stupid and we move on with our lives:naughty:

I also heard a Mercedes one time at a car show with two 12" Solo Xs and two KX2500.1s. He only pulled off a 149 (AC) and the box was sealed. It didn't sound loud at all.
