I expect most sub-$100 head unit to be pretty bad by car audio enthusiast standards, so I rarely bother to research them. Expect so-so build quality and components. Usually just one pre-amp out. Weak DSP. Often no USB, or only front panel connector. Forget about bluetooth phone support, HD radio, etc. It's a great head unit to buy if you use it primarily for listening AM radio talk shows or if you need to replace your expensive HU before selling the car. Having said that, I'd probably go for some kind of JVC product just because I had one before and it had worked for almost five years before it started skipping CD music.
