Okay, since this is my first car I have never messed with the dash or with car audio equipment before, so I am very confused as to how all the parts connect and communicate with eachother. First things first, I just bought this head unit...

Before I open the dash I'd like to understand what parts I will be using and what each parts is on the back of the head unit. Here is a numbered edit.

Tell me if I am wrong but from what I can guess...

1. Mp3 connection cable (female)

2. Subwoofer connection (L/R)

3. Power input and output, I have no idea what each color is for but the one with the blue tag says something about the amplifier, and the black one has a tag that says "GND 1." Is that to the battery?

4. The four female connections say "line out" and "rear and front" below that. These are for the 6 1/2's in the front and the 6x9's in the back? yes, no??

5. I have no idea what this one is for. It is circular, black and has two rounded rectangular vertical holes inside.

The equipment I am using (as of now)

1. two 6 1/2 pioneer speakers (mounted on center console)

2. two 6x9 pioneer speakers (back of course)

3. one kicker crv subwoofer (just purchased)

4. no amp, crossovers, tweeters, or 4's for the dash yet.

5. JVC KD-GS610 head unit (see link below if needed)

Any information would be great, I dont really understand what I need to do with these cut wires, or how to connect to battery. I am also looking to replace most of the equipment I have with others, which I have some questions on in another thread.

thanks in advance for any help!

Number one is the antenna i believe for your car. Number 2 probably is your sub out. 3 is for power/ground like you said and speakers plus an remote turn on lead for your sub/speaker amps.. Front and back outs are for plugging into amplifiers that you may use for your speakers. 5 i have no clue, cant see where it goes but it may be a DIN output for signal to some things.
