head unit help

Hello,

I hook up a head unit for my dad in his 2003 saturn, and with that set up you need to run the acc wire?(red) to another power sorce so I hooked it up to the cigerette lighter and it was working fine at first and now the lighters dont work but the radio still does, so any help would be great!
