Having trouble with Pioneer Mixtrax program

I have tried many times to get the Pioneer mixtrax program to work. I downloaded it from mixtraxnet.com. I have about 5500 songs in itunes and use my ipod as a USB drive and after analyzing about 1000 songs I get an error that mixtrax_main.exe has stopped working. This happens immediately after launching the program no matter how many times I try. I have uninstalled it many times and tried it on my E and C drives and get the same problem. I cannot find any answer anywhere and pioneer so far has not been helpful. I have a AVS X8500 and it says "Mixtrax" right on the unit so if I can't download the program its a pretty worthless feature. I can use MixtraxEZ but that is very basic and does not allow any changes to the songs or screen images.

have you tried to reset/restore the ipod? and then put the file onto it again. im guessing the ipod is at fault here

if you have any pioneer dealers near you, go in and ask to plug your ipod into a deck on the display..... if it works you will no your unit is faulty or it's the ipod that's faulty..... even ask if someone else can try a diff model ipod in your car.

also since your using the ipod as a usb drive, you may need to format it

Thanks, its not the ipod because I am just trying to get the mixtrax software to analyze the songs from itunes and the Ipod isn't involved or connected at this point. I am trying to think of any reason why this would happen and I've run out of ideas. I made sure to correct any unicode and ID3 tags in case there is a corrupt song and I am trying a different computer. It still crashed at about 1132 songs but I restarted the program and this time it picked up where it left off. My next thought will be to try 1000 songs at a time if it happens again but that means I need to create separate playlists and I don't know how much more effort I want to put into this. It sounded so simple and would be a neat feature.
