Having 2 different enclosures in one vehicle?

Hey i was just curious if anyone has ever used two different enclosures in one vehicle, more specificaly, what the effects would be if you had and identical setup for 2 seperate subs in their own seperate enclosures with one enclosure being tuned to a lower frequency and the other being tuned to a higher frequency, or if you had one ported and the other sealed? would this cause cancelation or any other problems?

ive always wondered about that also...but the fact of the matter is...if you spend the time and money you spend tuning the higher one...it would probably be cheaper to just get a nice pair of mids woofers or 2

I agree, the way i have my L7 tuned, no matter what i do with my crossovers, it bleeds into my midbass frequencies, and it sounds like crap mixed with my midrange speaks.

Tune low, get some good midbass, and it'll sound good.

Like someone said above it would be an interesting experiment given unlimited funds but chances are you will get better results with a setup you could have tighter control over, i.e. identical subs/power/enclosure.

I would go dual sealed but I prefer SQ over ultra ground pounding bass and I don't like hassles //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
