have a weird question.

i was listening to my stero in sig today with my truck off. i was using a different HU. now, when i turned the truck on it distorted at the levels that it didnt with the truck off. i dont mean alt whine or anything like that. like, a noise as if i over powered the sub. and, there wasnt to much of a difference with the truck on and, off in volume. should it be the oppasite? idk. any ideas, thanks.

i would say it is because your battery is at a higher voltage with your car on then off. with it on, you have your alt charging it and running a higher voltage throughout your system, then with your vehicle off.
