fo yo ipod? The Griffin one sucks ***, don't buy it EVER.

Otherwise I've heard they work well.

The ones that need lighter power seem to have stronger reception than the ones that run off of iPod power.

actually, that model there plays usb's, sd cards, etc. I was going to load a usb flashdrive with mp3's and use that to play it. I question the sound quality of the product. Would it sound like a radio?

cig lighter= higher voltage for the transmitter to use. 2 AA or AAA = 3v:crap:

My wife has the monster cable one (too expensive if you ask me but I was out of the country when she bought it) and it would work fine if there were an available radio freq in the Vegas area. As it is there is terrible interference because pretty much every freq has something broadcast on it.

yeah FM transmitters kinda of ****, they always get static and u have to turn ur head unit all the way up just to hear it
