Has anyone taken Xanax before?

I'm 6', 215, and a single .5mg pill literally does nothing to me. It did nothing the first time I used it as well.

Regardless, Xanax(unless you get the extended release) are fast acting, used primarily for panic attacks and the like. If anything, you should be taking Valium at night to help you sleep.

On a related note, OP, take 6-7 of them. You'll feel pretty good for a while.

EDIT: I didn't take the time to read past the first five or six posts, but wow. There is a lot of ignorance in this thread. Drugs =/= Death. That's completely stupid(let's have a discussion about it. I bet you $20 you'll regret doing that). Secondly, faith doesn't cure anything, it just pretends it's not there. At the end of the day, people still have cancer. People still have sleeping disorders.

And there's no God, but discussion of God in general is counterproductive because in the past few thousand years, there's been no proof to say whether there is or is not a God. Regardless of this fact, people still cling to their beliefs and disbeliefs to help feel sane. Dumb.

They put me on Xanax for anxiety,I either dont sleep or sleep anywhere from 1-3 hours a night.

We take it solely to sleep at night

First of all he is NOT talking about recreational use of benzo's, he's talking about daily use which is absolutely habit forming and will have unknown long term health consequences. FYI I've done plenty of recreational drug use in my day and enjoyed myself a lot....been there, done that, got the orange jumpsiut. I enjoy myself just as well without.

Honestly if he asked if he should try acid, mushrooms, weed, mescaline, opium, etc. I'd say "give it a whirl". Plenty of people do use things recreationally without life damaging consequences, virtually nobody uses any drugs daily without reprocussions.

If he asked about trying to eat them recreationally I'd probably advise against. Highly addictive and fair risk of "time travel". A friend of mine ate a handfull a couple years ago and came too three days later with a black eye and about 900$ cash. I'm pretty sure he didn't just get a paper route....

Before you take any Benzodiazepine you should call me first.
This is the one of the most dangerous drugs and coming off even a small dose can be absolutely debilitating if not FATAL!

Odds are a good diet and proper excercise will help OP more than a dangerous benzo addiction.

There are only two drugs with potentially fatal withdrawl, alcohol and benzos. Check your facts. Odds are use won't kill you (unless you get behind the wheel after over-indulging) but stopping can be fatal. Google is your friend.

I have been on 1 mg of clonazapam for 4 years.

1mg of clonazapam = 20mg of valium.

Trust me!. If you don't suffer from seizures or severe mussel spasms then you should not be on this drug. In fact... This drug should not exsist except for emergency situations.

Do some in depth reading on benzo withdrawl and then decide if you want to permanently change the gaba receptors in your brain.

Anyone who reads up on this drug and still thinks its a good idea is a fcking idiot and should just off themselves now and save them and others the suffering.

if I knew what I know now then I would of followed a homeopathic program with lots of exercise.
