Has anyone ran the new and old RE subs?

I would like to hear from people who ran the REAL RE and the US Amps brand. I got to hold some of the new RE subs in my hand the other day, and I must admit they felt cheaply made compared to the RE subs I had before US Amps took over. They seemed to have less weight to them and the spider on the RE *** isn't stiff at all. It looks flimsy and you can see straight through the spider. I'm no spider expert, but it just didn't look right? I'm pretty sure the spider is like that for SQ purposes? The Sxx seemed to be built stronger, a lot stronger than the ***. My old Se's felt like mini monsters in my hand, but the new ones made by US didn't. I was thinking about getting some ***'s over the Kicker Cvx, but after seeing the Re in person I think it might be a mistake? What do you about the new Re's being able to take a beating vs the old? How much power does the 600rms rated 3" coil really need to reach full excursion?

Ive reconed old MT's, XXX's, SX's.....The XXX was always a SQ sub, with just two spiders on them. But people always tried to use them as SPL subs with clearly horrible results.

US Amps has totally fucked up the RE brand. I won't ever buy the new stuff, i'll just recone the old ones forever.

So have you heard the new Se's? What is your take on the newer spiders? I guess I should just stick with the CVX?

I changed my mind again. I'm looking at the DC Level 4 and Level 3 now. I'm also looking at the Cadence ZRS1000, but I'm torn because I don't know which is better? The Cadence seems to be the best bang for my buck. How does the RE Sxx compare to the Level 4? I've pretty sure I won't do the Se's anymore, but still haven't ruled out the Cvx. I really would like 2 12's that can get as loud as 4 12 Cvx's, but I guess cone area is King? Does anyone know if the DC Level 3 can beat the Cvx? Also, is the Level 4 built better than the Cadence ZRS because they have similar specs?
