keep shooting him and when the birds come after you shoot them and they will scatter. I beat him with the regular assault rifle.

seriously, just shoot him ALOT. i too also used a regular assualt rifle and tagged him with some grenades. torquebow is great too. it's better to shoot him when the bats aren't buzzing around him (acting as a shield it seems like). great game indeed. badass online too. gets boring after a while tho.
