the new company of car audio products that is produced by phoenix gold's manufacturer that made pg's good stuff like 10 years ago? i cannot think of the name or find it but i went to my pg dealer the other day and they had all new products. the company is something like "elizez" or "elezes" i can't remember. i am just wondering if anyone knows about these things. there was a 300 watt 4 chan amp for about 300$ and they said it will likely out perform the new xenon amps and easily the octane hands down. i am a little skeptical //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif ...anybody? thanks

The name of the company is Exile and they are supposed to make some pretty good mid level products. I think someone over on ECA bought the components and said that they were solid, especially for the price.

i was at a competition recently and some guy had an exile 12 in his car (from canada) had black cone with a inverted dustcap and EXILE in blue.

i found nothing on the company or its speakers anywhere.

he didnt score very well.. like a 132 or somthing on the AC. with a single 12 in a hyundai accent hatch and a SPL box.

As mentioned; it's Exile Car Audio. ECA and Carsound have a few threads and places where Exile is metioned.

It was three previous engineers (or other "big wigs", but for sure one of the engineers) from PG that left and started their own company (maybe where they got the name "Exile" from?).

thanks guys, yeh Exile was it. it confused me cause they actually write a letter backwards on thier logo. the dealer said if i got an exile 600.4 to power pg xenon components and coaxials it would perform better than say an octane 800.4 amp for around the same price even though it's less wattage. you guys think 300$ for the exile 600.4 is a good buy? enough to power coaxials and xenon comps? suggestions anyone thanks

Well, I haven't touched a product of theirs in my life. But, I've seen one of the owners posting over on ECA, and seen the way they (Exile) have handled their direct sales so far (if there isn't a dealer in your area, they will sell direct) and I can say so far they look like they are a great company. I like the guy's style (car audio is supposed to be fun, lets make it that way again), and they have e-mailed customers the day their products were supposed to arrive to be sure everything got there fine.

All in all, they seem like good people and a good company so far....I'd give them a chance with my money (assuming I actually had any to spend).

enough to power coaxials and xenon comps?
Looks like it, yeah.

If it helps at all I recently bought that 600.4 exile amp. i bought it with the thought of in the future running all 4 channels to the cabin and getting the 600.1 for my bass. but with only using the front 2 channels for my comps and the rear 2 channels bridged to my sub. i have no plans of adding a 2nd amp anytime soon. the amp is heavy and seems to be really solid. if the comps you have will handle around 80 watts of power then they'll love it, and i highly doubt you'll feel let down

if you want to ask me anything about the amp let me know.
