I Have This Amp And Im Very Happy With It But It Doesn't Seem To Hit The Low Frequences Like My Other 1000 Watt Rms Amp.....the Other Amp Is In A Car That Has A Bigger Trunk So I Don't Know If Thats A Variable....is The Crossover Point An Issue?....i Have Both Amps At 80 Hz....any Help Is Appreciated....thanks Everybody.

I've heard this about different amps as well, I know the DLS CAD 15 can drop lower than another highly favorable amp from the forums... so it's very possible. how much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking? if it was cheap I could possibly consider getting one for my truck, or even two and try to strap them with a module such as the hifonics maxxlink //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I've heard mixed reviews on these amps. one said the 4 channel didn't play low...a local guy who competes loves his....I was going to try them, but I don't think so now.

I would think there's more going on with the signal than the amp if there's a problem with certain frequencies.. Typically the ICEpower amps, like other class-D type amps would probably do quite well for subwoofer duty, but I could be wrong.. it's happened on occassion. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have heard them before they didn't seem to be to bad got low enough for my taste.

are you comparing the sound of the same sub in the same box on 2 different amps or dif subs and box?

I have been wanting them to run my front stage for a while now, but had never personally seen them until yesterday. I knew they were supposed to be small, but holy crap, they're itty-bitty. Alot of reviews I've heard/read says they are great amps, but they are on the expensive side. The 4.100 retails for $500...roughly $1.25 per watt. That's very expensive. Still, you pay for what you get (and I'm sure they can be found cheaper).

As for the caraudio review, there could be different things contributing to his lack of up front bass. Or, it simply could be the amp. Regardless, it's nothing a little eq'ing couldn't fix.

After seeing them in person yesterday I definately will be buying a couple 4.100's or 4.150's to power my front stage. Plus, the class D will be much nicer on my electrical system than what I currently have.

As for your issue, if you have an EQ use it.

Also, you're not comparing the same setup in the same environment, so it's too early to say the lack of low-end is your amplifier. Don't let those reviews get you thinking something until you know it for yourself. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
