So what patenting, req? I promise i wont do it first.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
its expensive because like i mentioned before Good attorneys will do a detailed patent search to see if the invention is already patented. Thats usually around $800-1000 dollars just for the search. Next is the legal work involved, Andy its way more harder than just filling out an application. If its a really good invention/concept you would want to be protected and the attorney can do that for you, dont forget big manus and corporations have many attorneys and if they look at your idea/invention and see you had a loop hole or didnt cover something your screwed. I pmd you the best way of doing it without getting a patent or patent pending status!!!lol.
you got me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
bleh. if it goes thru, i knowit will happen in the future, just sucks its so expensive and time consuming. why does it take so god ****ed long to patent something? and why is it so expensive?
im not really keen on what makes it expensive. all the forms are on the internet, along with all the information that states what needs to be handed in? i know the easiest route to go with is the patent attourney, but who needs a guy to fill out paperwork when its fully documented online?
A Guide to Filing A Non-Provisional (Utility) Patent Application
every single thing that i would need to do to create an application is right there. all the forms are on their site, and it explains everything in detail. so why is it so expensive!??!

I have an item I have tried to get liscened. However, PepsiCo wanted to see the product before granting me a liscense. And the license was crazy expensive. I still have it. It is one of a kind and I have never seen anything like it before.i have had an idea for something (yes its car audio related) for about 3 years now. i have not seen anything like it in the market as of yet.
im not going to propagate my idea anywhere until i eaither find somone else made it or i patent it lol.
but has anyone ever tried to get something patented? did anything come of it? what do you have to do to patent an idea, and where did you go to do it?
i just started doing some reasearch, and one of the best resources is people. so fill me in on your expierence or research, and give me a heads up about what im getting into //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
