i always wanted to do one of thier projects. like the hivi juniors -
http://www.partsexpress.com/projectshowcase/hivijuniors/index.cfm .i just have no idea how to put together a crossover. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif are there any tutorials anywhere that go in detail about putting one together? or forum members that design em?
It's a basic crossover;

Resistors = Rp1, Rp2, Req
Capacitors = C1, C2, Ce
Inductors [coils] = L1, L2
You buy the parts and wire them up as shown in the drawing.
You can attach the parts on a piece of wood, plastic, whatever and wire it.
Some ideas;

Simple - piece of wood, glue the parts and solder the wires.

You can install the crossover inside the speaker box, but ideally you want
to be able to remove the crossover just in case you need to do some
tweaking. Perhaps make an access panel in the back of the speaker box,
or the crossover can be an external unit as well. Whatever you can dream up.

A similar idea with a terminal strip so you can wire up the connections easier.

Scroll down to see how this is integrated into the cabinet.

A ghetto method where you attach the crossover parts to the speaker
wire, it works fine, it just looks funny.

A custom design would probably look like this, where you did PCB layout,
etched the copper clad board, etc. More professional looking, but it will
function the same as the others.

You can also try pegboard as the base, install the parts and use
wire ties to hold the parts in place.
