Hard Wiring Neon Lights

Ok, that isnt going to cause any kind of short or anything is it?

I wouldn't imagine it would cause a short....pretty simple just splice the power into the trunk light's power feed and splice the ground into the ground (or ground it elsewhere). It's possible, though, depending on the way your car is wired that circuit may or may not supply enough current to run your neons - I couldn't say for certain.
