Half blown 800a2 vs. PRS-D1100M

I have a half blown RF 800a2 running a Pioneer TS-W306C SVC 4 Ohm sub rated at 400 watts RMS. I understand the old RF amps like I have are rated well below their actual output power but I wasn't sure if that applied when I'm only running on one channel.

From the specs I've seen the 800a2 is rated at 200-240 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms depending on supply voltage. Will the Pioneer PRS-D1100M rated at 400 watts RMS at 4 Ohms really make that much of a difference?

If you have a multimeter you can measure what the amp is outputting. Read on how to adjust gains on these forums, and you will need test tones, and a dmm. You can see how high your gains will go and that will tell you how many watts you can push out of it. But keep in mind its not recommended to run your amp with the gain all the way up.
