What size box his much port area and what tune?I'd say 7 cubes tuned to 32 with 100in port area and it souls come easy..

- High excursion sub

- Don't skimp on the port area

- Tune low

Large amounts of power don't necessarily equal hairtricks, though it doesn't hurt. There are just more important things to achieve more air movement than overall SPL

this, now that i think of it. heard a 1k setup of two 13.5's and it was moving well enough air to get hair moving. the key was the box. was built to as close as you can get to spec and was tuned at 27 hz

Get you a used kicker 2500 or similar..

The aq copper coil is about 2" winding height.. Only about 16 mm Xmax but they slam..

opinions of a aq 15" hdc3 with a coils, 2800rms at 2 ohms, in 3.7 after displacement, hatchback celica, sub and port facing trunk with about 6 inches of free space.

If you want a killer daily driver I'd look at the as mayhem or zcon along with the n2 with the longer coil..

i have to 18's corey built me and i have movement can make bandana move and light stuff but no hair yet ...also has to do with they are only seeing about 750 each

As stated above somewhere by the chief groan recipient of the thread, it is all determined by pressure differential. That for some vehicle geometries and sub choices can be obtained using a bass reflex alignment that happens to have a "low" tuning frequency. For other cabin geometries and sub choices, it may require a variant of a transmission line etc. If it's engineered, high excursion may be a byproduct, but not a prerequisite.....nor are high subwoofer Xmax ratings always required. There are vehicles out there that raise scalp fur with nearly no piston excursion.

I couldnt do a hair trick with 2 15s walled on 14k with the port on top. But i can do them no that i got a port on drivers side and more cone area

You have to have proper phasing..
