Had an American Bass vfl 200.1, what can get me back to that power

Hey guys -

Years ago, I ran an American Bass VFL 200.1, was short on funds and sold it. I'd like to buy another, but they appear to have gone up significantly in price.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a similar amp? Running this thing in 2 or 1 ohm would crack like nothing I've used since.

Thanks in advance!

Honestly, I'm just looking for something that has around the same power as that amp, but real power. I've tried other brands rated around the same, but nothing has come close. Ideally, looking to spend 350 or so. Don't know if there is anything in that price range anymore that is rugged. Currently running a 1500.1 mb quart amp, and it just isn't cutting it anymore. I've tried brands I've never heard of before like Hifonics, but they all sounded like crap. The AB amp was amazing and I REALLY regret selling it.

Hifonics was amazing in the 80-90s. Even ok up to 2006ish. Anything past that is crap. Same for mb quartz. Any of the ones I listed will do what the AB did. Probably the same amp.

because the brands you tried are crap. You arent gonna get anything close to that AB for 350. The closest thing was an FSD 3800 for 400 but that sold a long time ago in the classifieds.

all amps sound the same. if its not driven outside of the recommended usage they will sound the same..
I dont know about that man..I have quite a few A/B 80s-90s Zeds, and they sure dont sound the same as amps ive ran in the past few years.Deff not within the same wattage class by far

Brands like american bass and digital design both make great products and have a long company history of solid products (as a result your going to be paying a pretty penny for it).
I paid $580 cash for my VFL 150.1 (i'm sure the vfl 175.1 and vfl 200.1 are both in the 700 to 800 range).
