H2 vs. Type-R vs. SX

no love for the h2s? they have a great deal going on them right now at sounddomain.com, they're selling the h2's for half off... so that would be about $250 a piece. so you guys still take the type r over that deal? also, would one 15" type r get pretty loud? and is sealed or ported the best for type r's?

it seems like everyone on these forums are crazy about the type r's and everyone on the sounddomain forums are crazy about the avalanches and xxx's.

i'd take a type R over the h2, even if the h2 was 25 bux... waste of $.

in a decent box with decent power... sure it'll be loud enough for any sane person.

try not to be so broad.... for some people the factory setup is "loud enough"

I have the type r's and are ok but i need a ported box. So if you do get them get a nice ported box. I am sure you will be happy.

i have had all 3 subs.

H2: i loved em, sounded good and got loud. impressed everyone. but i juss got tired of sending them in all the time. juss got on my nerves. so i had 2 let em go, even though i didnt want to. really liked these subs.

SX: it was loud, peaks really high, and has the weakest lowend of the 3. didnt have the power musically and its was juss 1 stinky azz sub. it was alrite, if i juss compete all day everyday, but wouldnt but it for a daily driver. strong sub though

TYPE R: wha more can i say, my fav of all 3. lowend is ridiculous, didnt even smell coils, handle the power way better than the SX. it juss sounds good and puts a hurting on ya body and ears. juss an all-around great sub. musically and SPLwise. would be my 1st choice

Each of the subs are popular enough you should be able to hear them all in a setup close to what you are wanting. You're in Ohio. I'd bet there are several forum members from there that would let you listen to their system. Post up a thread asking for people n your area.

I will keep my mouth shut about all the random BSing in your thread.
