H/O Alternator Recommendations

Ok, I am thinking of getting an H/O alternator for my car for Christmas. I was wondering what brand would be a good one to go with around $300 or so. I am looking for 200 Amps for my 2001 GMC Jimmy 4 door with the 4.3L Vortec V6. I know I can get one from KnuKonceptz, EA and I believe MeanGreen has one. I am looking for a recommendation on a reliable one that would have good CS if I were to have a problem.

mean-green for me.

stay away from motor city reman. buddy has one, and its been a problem ever since. hes on his second one.

do some research on EA alts...CS is SHITTY

they are $369 plus ship. they are 200A units but i believe that is a hot rating (meaning after its warmed up) as most have beneched around 220A cold.

i have one, its very reliable.

My experience with Nate at EA was very positive and alt has been working fine for over a year. Seems like a crap shoot with pretty much all the HO alt companies...
