h.o. alternator or what

my thing i just dont want to buy the ho alternator and it not do what it supposed to or i can do something else and be ok.

And no, nothing will substitute for a power generator.

And I dont see ~$300 as an arm and a leg when it can prevent damage to your amplifier and car's electronics (voltage drop = not good.)

 
is it a true fact that an HO alt can reduce your overall gas mileage and put more stress on your vehicle since its taking in much more than it should? *assuming all the parts and labor are properly installed*

 
Depending on the alt, the engine and the amount of current you demand from the alt you MIGHT lose a mile per gallon. If you have enough gear in the car that you NEED a HO alt, you are probably losing 3-4 mpg from the weight of the stuff and at that point, what's another mile.
