alternator whine

did a search on this and people have been saying bad ground or wires exposed. Which exposed wires would be causing the whine? (power, rca, speaker?)

i dont think i have a bad ground just becasue ive been using same ground for a long time and no problem with it.

Is the whine a new thing then? Did you change anything to cause it to start?

um... well i reinstalled my tantrum 1200.1 but its out of the car now. Ill be checking the wires tomorrow to see if there is any exposure. i was trying to slide in my box and theres a good chance i slide it over some wires...

Most likely you have a loose ground. Another possibility is that you pulled an RCA a little loose.
