I think what i have decided to do i build the box below the large plastic piece with a sub on each side and the port in the middle. I am gonna build the amp rack in place of that big plastic piece and secure it to the back wall and the top of the box. still need to figure out what subs to run though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifyou could do the box behind your seats and then cover up your back window with mdf and mount the amps to that
Thats what i have been told over and over and over again.....but i think thats why i want to try to get it.....and also i think that is what i will need to be competitive. But in reality i dont expect to hit it my first time out or maybe not even with my first setup. But it is all a learning process, if i dont get it with this setup at least i am on the right track to getting there eventually....GL on hitting 150, it's alot harder than just saying you want to hit it, especially if you are new at this.
That's a good way to look at things. You can always learn something new man.Thats what i have been told over and over and over again.....but i think thats why i want to try to get it.....and also i think that is what i will need to be competitive. I'm actually about to start a new install, where I'm shooting for 150+, but I'll keep all of those details under wraps for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
The USACI rules for the stock division state that all amps, subs, and sub box may extend past the B-pillar in a reg. cab truck but must not extend farther than the back of the seats (I assume this would mean no amps under the seats). I am still trying to pick the sub(s).Thats a clean looking install on that Ram. Identical to my truck only I got the 5 speed and a way crappier looking install!! So the Rules say all equipment must be behind the seats? Is there a grey area for under the seats for amp mounting? I have 2-12's stuffed behind my seats and the amps under them, putting the amps under the seat free'd up alot of room for a bigger box! 5.3. keeps us posted on how it goes!Ben
