I am looking at putting a system together in my reg. cab truck that would compete in the USACI Stock division 3001-up. My question is, when reading the rules it says all subs, amps, and box must be behind the seats......well does anyone have any good ideas on how to fit all that back there and also what type of subs would do good in this class??

Subs will be powered by an Atomic 3000.1 and if anyone has any pics of what they have done in their trucks please post em' up!! Thanks.

I drove a regular cab silverado for a couple years, and without sacraficing a ton of leg room its very hard to get loud in one.

ChevyAudio was pretty successful in his regular cab with a variety of subs, but I don't think he frequents the forums too often.

I originally wanted to put the subs in between the seats and put the amps on the back wall......till i read the rules that said all must be behind the seats.....just wandering if anyone has had a setup in a reg cab that had good numbers and would mind showing some pics

Well i doubt you see any pics from tommyk and hes probably one of the loudest single cabs on here....And i think chevyaudio had some pics you might want to check some of his old threads for those.

I am doing a build in my reg cab truck right now to. what I planned on doing is putting a tool box in the bed and using it for my amps/batteries so I only have to bore like a 2" hole instead of having to do a complete blow through. I am going to ventilate the tool box to get good air flow. You can get tool boxes that are flush with the top of the bed so they do not look to bad.

Here's the single 15" setup I had in my regular cab S-10.

Sure it's ugly, sure I couldn't use it daily, but it was d*mn loud. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just thought I'd put up pictures of my setup again so it might give you some ideas. And by the way, I've only been to one competition and the loudest I got was 136.8 at 44hz. I swapped in a different length port tuned to about 36 hz, so I'll have to see what that does on the meter.

well i am thinkin i will be able to do 2 12's ported along the back wall then mount the amps above the box where that plastic piece goes (those with chevy's know what i am talkin about) and make a trim ring to fit over the amps.

What i need to figure out is what subs to go with (12's that will handle 2000w ported) then what size port and box......anyone have any suggestions on a 12 that will handle the above and hit 150+?? i would like to keep the pair this side of $500.....was thinkin maybe 2 HDC3's but dont know how they would take to 2000 watts.....
