what is usually the best configuration for port/sub firing direction in them, particularly an extended cab?

and as far as an extended cab...Everyone I have played with has been loudest with sub forward/front and port to the drivers side.
x2, subs forward port upmy old truck i had subs facing forward and ports going up. sounded pretty good.
