gun guys

I have a question for you guys' date=' may start another thread actually but Ill start here... I am debating in between a Walther P99 and a Glock 23 both in a .40... Thoughts?[/quote']If you can get the Glock for a good deal....that IMO.

Not to much to them but they are dead nuts reliable and easier to find parts for.

Also....if you ever wanted to try the Sig .357 round....that is just a barrel swap....

They both can be had for about the same price... I have watched many videos and read a lot comparing the two and the only down side to the Walther is the Glock has more aftermarket parts out... I loved who the P22 feels in my hand so Im think the P99 will be great too... With my age though I cant even handle a hang gun in the stores so Im not sure... It pisses me off!

I happen to have both, and both are great,as 40s are pretty much all I like to buy.I even have the compact 99 also.Glock is pretty bulky IMO,and when you buy,not much is retrieved,as the 99, you get a couple extras grips, and sights. The 99 is by far my favorite,is the reason I chose the compact as well. The thing good about the glock is the you are able to buy high capacity mags, such as 20s,and cheap at gun shows. They both are accurate as h e l l ,but the 99s are pretty smooth, and fell really snug in your hand, as the glock feels bulky, and a little more off balance to me, and need use two hands to really hold upright to shoot target. All my opinion, but the Glock is prob a little cheaper though. Also take a look at a Sig 229/40cal.Great also.I have a Sig/Mauser 40 M2 that Is a real treat apart of my goodies. The 99 is my daily companion,if that helps:D

I can do..may be just some chunk change for my flat rate services of approx $1400, and bail fees..LOL!!

No problem!
:laugh:Ya Its what you want again, with toys you know.Do your homework on the one you want/others, and either you want more options, and bulk. or less few options with comfort, and both with durability? Do go check out that Sig 229.Im game for it soon.Stay away from the Ruger semi.Bulky, and heavy!!Taurus also,I have the millemunim 40,It JAMED on me, but they do have a LifeTime warranty,on most or theyres, if not all.Stay away from Reloads also,Grime up the barrells, and jam everytime,.Stick with FMJ man.

I like the XD's as well but think the P99 is gunna be the one... I want something all around but mostly comfortable...
I like the 99 over all,and the ammo is cheaper to buy than most 45 and has just much knock down power, and even more with the right load,FPS,also. My brother has a Glock 45, and Im a 40 person. He cant stand it when we go shooting, due to me shelling approx 1000rnds for practice shooting, while he b i t ches about 500rnds of 45.LOL!!Ive always wondered if the 40 took the place of the 10mm

Feels very good in your hand, releases smoothly, and It has never let me down period, and has been my favorite of all that I have.Well now Ive exposed three of my toys, among a few more.LOL!! If you can afford the 99/have the funds for it..I recommend it,and if you want to expand cheaply and go bulkly,I recommend the Glock, but both are quite accurate, and built well/solid craftsmanship.Just my opinion
