Grounding to battery?

Sorry for the noob question...So my battery in in my trunk. Can I ground my amps to my battery? If so is it "better" for any reason to do it or not?

You can ground them to the battery, or chassis. Whichover location is closer. My battery is right next to the amp so I just ground both pos/neg to my battery.

Depending on what you are running you may want to upgrade your factory wires.

I want to see how it goes before I upgrade... battery in trunk to engine + BMW wiring = pain in my a$$. But I'll probably have to do it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'll get everything installed and give it a listen first.

If the battery is in the trunk already, then ground to the battery. Why have 4 connections to the battery when you can have 2 ?

You probably have factory 8awg on that so yea you may need to upgrade. Why connect to the batt with 2awg (or whatever you are using) when it more than likley has a 8awg run to the front. But give it a try
