ground wire guage

Check that your antenna plug is not grounding. Try powering up the HU with the RCAs unplugged. If it powers up with the ground disconnected but the RCAs connected but does not power up with both the RCAs and ground disconnected, then you are getting a ground loop through your RCAs to your amp. If it still powers up then you have a chassis grounding issue or it is grounding through the antenna.

ok, I'll try that, but once I find out the source of the ground problem how do I fix it? If it is powering through the RCAs what will resolve the problem? or with the antennae?
