Mountainer Man shitted on my other thread, and I wasn't so concerned because it was directed at me, but when you talk about my family... it's another story. I just hope Mountainer Man doesn't act like that in real life.

Is it really that insignificant? no, because you're comment was extremely offensive towards my sister on so many levels. FYI, he specifically requested that I build the box with the same brace I incorperated in my own personal build.

Aggrivated you? about what? the woofer position? It doesn't make a big of a difference at all. You want to know how much port noise I have? NONE. This topic has already been discussed by very reputable box builders and they also have never had any problems with it.

Decrease in DB's? Who really cares. If you were really smart enough, you could conclude those boxes aren't designed for compeition, and people who strive for a daily driver setup don't really mind losing .4 - 2 DB's. If he really was aiming for SPL, don't you think he would have asked for a larger enclosure tuned higher? If you're such an expert on this matter, then why don't you build two boxes, one with the cutout in the center, and one off to the side and give us some numbers... smart guy...

BTW who really drives around listening to 150 DB's? So maximizing DB's isn't all that important when it comes to building, "practical enclosures." In the end, I'm going to give him a well built box for a very reasonable price. So none of this really involved you at all.

Probably not.So you have me there' I'll admit it.But I believe in giving customers the best I possibly can, regardless if they'll hear a difference or not.So I will. 150db daily driving, if I had it I would.I've driven around doing 144-145 and it's nothing to me.By Jan. I will have a system that'll play most music around 148 on the tl (and that's under estimating it).

Then why is it such a big deal that the cutout is on the right side? because it doesn't follow Moe's plans to the dot? Because it doesn't give into conformity like every other box out there? The box is unique in many different aspects, and I'm extremely pleased with the quality of the box thus far. Sure the cutout is a little rough (something I had no control over), big deal.. it won't make any difference once the sub is in. So I added a brace, what it completly nessesary? no, but it sure as hell will increase structural integrity, and that's my way of, "giving my customers the best I possibly can."
