Gotta love dealerships! HA

IDK, that Kinda sounded like an excuse to me.
To me, no one goes on a 50K road trip....I mean come on. Come back to reality now.

That's literally around the world and prob every single city in every country. Nobody ain't got time for that.

I'd take that challenge as well. As soon as I get done completely rebuilding my 20 year old car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

It'll have all the newest tech that I need, and be 100% reliable for MUCH less than a new vehicle. No car payment, cheaper insurance, cheaper to repair if necessary. Some people have other priorities than building cars. That's fine by me, but I don't need all that fancy shit.

Just because a wheel bearing wears out, that does not mean time to buy a new car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Okay, over the next 50k lets see who's car has more expenses in repairs. I probably wont have my car that long, but maybe. I'll probably trade it in in around 3-4 years when its paid off, maybe drive it around a few years after that for some expense free driving. I got a 10 Year 100K bumper to bumper warranty. So I might drive it throughout that, but that means I'll have it for about 8-9 years because I only put 12k a year on this car. It all depends on if something catches my eye enough for me to want to buy it.

I had 50k on my old Scion. All it ever had was oil changes which your warranty don't cover.

I wasn't saying that, I was saying my brand new wheel bearing will probably last longer than the used one. And yes, you'd probably have to completely rebuild a car. How much is buying a used car and rebuilding everything that could be mechanically flawed? I know it aint cheap, I completely replaced my from suspension in my Taurus and it cost an arm and a leg, and it still kept breaking down with more problems. No thanks. Got rid of the Cadi when it started to cost me an arm and a leg to drive. My car payments aren't that high, I just pay double to get em gone faster to have some expense and worry free driving and to avoid interest.

Its cool if you like craigslisting it up, it aint for me. One mans trash is another mans treasure isn't my mantra.

Sold my '92 s10 blazer last summer. It had well over 300K+ miles on original motor. Think you can top that?

I will have about $3k in a 'new' 20 year old car. That is ground up, everything - you name it.

It's not expense free driving if you pay a car note //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Probably not, at least not without maintenance, but I wouldn't trust anything new to last that long, we don't make classic vehicles now. I also wouldn't want it that long. With some TLC, I bet I could get my car over 300k. My '92 Bonneville has 320+k when I sold it. Yeah, it was reliable, but it did drive like it had hundreds of thousands of miles.

I have had my Tahoe now for about 6-8 years. Only major things replaced in that time frame was the water pump, needed a good tune up, and a leaky power steering hose. That's it.

Previous owner had the ****** done and engine rebuilt. That's the time to buy a vehicle. Take care of your car, and it will take care of you.

Things do go wrong yes. Worn parts, bad parts that sometimes fail. They're not meant to last forever.
