Gotta love dealerships! HA

It's actually $17 but I tip heavily //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
It's a salon full of tatted women. Quality haircut, wash, and beard lined up. And an ice cold beer. I think it's a square deal.
That is a deal. I think salon luca give out like martinis or some fancy drink like that. Its a nice place from what I hear, the Boss/Owner of the company I work for goes gets her hair and whatnot done there.

Also, your supposed to tip heavy, $10 hair cut, $20 tip. Thats what my mom always paid when I was young. My lady has been cutting my hair for about 5 years now. I don't tip her, I buy her cars and dinner.

Have you been in a newer Kia? Post '12 when they got sought after designers from Audi or Jaguar? I can't remember which one. These aren't your parents Kias. Mine is a base model because it was a demo, so it isn't chalk full of bells and whistles. Still way more than I would have gotten from GM or Ford for the price, and its bigger than the comps with twice the warranty. I'll stick by Kia. Its the highest quality vehicle I've bought, had a 02 STS, a '12 Cruze, a '11 Soul that was still better than the Cruze and had double miles, the problem was with the dealer not the car. and now the '14 Soul which is even better. And GM has a ton of recalls (I had 3 in my 2 years), I don't think I'll ever consider them unless I'm getting a truck, and I'm not confident in them because they aren't confident in themselves. At least not like Kia is. If you think your car can last a long time, why not have the warranty comp to Kia? Oh yeah, because they aren't quality vehicles anymore.
The only thing an American car could do for me is give me premier parking at Deere. And I don't work there, so IDC. But to each their own. If ya don't think Kia is fancy, neither is Ford, Dodge, or Chevy, they come with less for more. But I'm okay with Kia not being fancy, compared to Cadillac, Lincoln, Benz, BMW, Audi. But if you compare to that of a Fusion or a Malibu, the Optima is far more fancy, and a smoother ride.

I can also point out similar parts off my car that GM uses //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif For example: I have a Valeo Alternator, which is a Denso company. You know what GM uses? Valeo or Denso. Thats just an example. I'm sure if I tore it apart, 95% or more of the parts would be used in American cars, 100% of the electrical components, with the exception of body panels. American cars aren't all that American, just sayin. Toyota is probably more American than GM at this point.

Not a fan of GM because I haven't had good experiences with them outside my '92 Bonneville, that car was a beast, I wish I still had it. Not too much Ford experience, only had a '89 Taurus and that was poop, but all the old Taurus' were poop. New once are NAF. I HATE the way new Dodges feel, I haven't even came close to considering one.
I drove every mid size sedan including the optima. It's not a good ride. Noisy as heck and felt very cheap.

It's a polished turd just like the Hyundai. Looks great from a few feet away.

Meh, the Malibu and the Fusion were quieter, that's about the only thing good I could say about them. Again, Kia is more confident in their vehicles which makes me more confident. May not be as quite, but I'd likely do all that myself no matter what I bought. I'd say it mechanically more sound given 60k (100k with the extended) before they expect things to go wrong. Chevy says 30k (only 60 with the extended). I don't trust cars that the makers themselves don't trust. Ford only give you 12k before they stop covering stuff, 36k till they cover nothing (as far as B2B). Again, can't trust a company that doesn't back their product. You say noisy, and I can agree, the Soul is way quieter than my car, but that is because it has extra sound deadening and all that fun jazz.

Definitely didn't feel any cheaper than a Ford or Chevy, drove the '14 fusions, nice rides, more than I was willing to spend for the same thing I got. Was your car noisy enough to still tear it apart and redue it? because that'd be a waist if that was a deciding factor. But like I said, to each their own. IDK you, or if you have an "american car" bias or even a ford bias. I had a GM bias until getting into the Optima.

I can say it isn't the quietest ride, but that is the only negative I can think of so far. Still very smooth, thought it was a nicer ride on the highway than the Malibu and the Fusion. Thought it was more spacious too. Don't think Hyundai is too bad of a ride either. Or Mazda, or many other foreign car companies. I don't think America makes a single vehicle better than the foreign vehicles of the same class, but there are many foreign vehicles that are better than the American Comps.

Again, not against American cars, I mostly look for mechanically sound, and I can't fight the company that is telling me they are the most mechanically sound, and they will back it up with a warranty that far surpasses anyone else. We'll check back in when we've both got 60k to see how they are holding up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I don't deal with UPS either. Not only did they screw me over on a few orders (not from here), but they screwed my mom over as an employee. But we sued them and won :)
I don't deal with USPS anymore. Long story and I won't get into it. Most recently, they broke the basket of my latest sub. Packing was not the issue.

I use UPS because I have a plug for cheap labels.

Cost $60 from USPS to ship the Z up here from Louisiana. Cost me $75 for UPS labels to ship both back to Louisiana, with tons of insurance.
I went postal at the UPS office one time.

True story :fyi:
What happened?

I'm Toyota biased but the Camry was bland. The new model is nice though but it wasn't out yet.

Here is my take on the warranty. Nobody was buying those cars before they started offering those 100,000 mile warranties. I don't know if you where a car buyer before they where doing that.

I hate GM.

I started liking the Kia's with the new body design, I thought they were sleek and they were doing it long before Ford and Chevy. Its a copy cat world lol, I think BMW and Jaguar were doing it before Kia. I think it was Jaguar designers that Kia picked up when Jaguar combined with Ford around 2012ish? The dealer was telling me about it, my ladies grandpa turned us onto Kia's with his Serento, he also had that same speal. It was a way nicer ride than the american comps I had been in, the Edge and the Equinox, I also liked it better than the Mazda's, but it was close. I'm really not a fan of the Edge and the Equinox is meh. I'm not a mopar fan at all. I did test drive a charger... I hated it. But out of the dodge company, Chrysler has been the only vehicles I've liked to drive, and the only vehicle I've ever crashed was a Sebring, not the cars fault it had bald tires in the dead of winter. My ladies dad called me "the kid who wrecked his car" for 2 years.

I'll probably end up getting a Silverado in the future to have a truck so I don't have to barrow one. Maybe even something like a Tahoe or a Suburban so I can go all SPL and blow some windows lol. I grew up in a GM family, its hard to go Ford, and as far as trucks, I honestly don't think one is better than the other, but those Silverado High Countries sure are nice.

I did almost get a Camry until they came out with the Demo Optima and said they'd knock 5K off.
