Got the Mach 5 in a 4th order...

Designed by 80inches. Tuned to 51hz...

For a single 12" off 400w, it's loud! It seriously pwns the lows- it plays very smoothly below 40hz. I've never tried a 4th order before, and I was just curious to see what it could do. I'm very impressed so far. I can tell it wants more power, though. It seems like it wants to get muuuuch louder. Pics in the morning.

honestly, i don't know. i left that up to 80inches. but apparently, it's part of a 4th order's nature... you just tune it higher. dont let the 51hz tuning fool you.... it kills the lows.

why 51Hz?

when u tune a 4th order bandpass u tune in the middle of the frequency bandwith

my box is tuned to 60hz and look wat i'm doing in my sig:up2somet:

I made a 4th order for an SI BM 12" woofer as an experiment and it's not bad at all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Did a 6th order for a BM 10" for my girlfriend... now that box nails very hard with low power, at the expense of some "SQ" of course... but she listens to R&B and Reggaeton primarily where it's not much of a concern.

6th order bp r more efficient than 4th orders

its like comparing a ported box to a sealed box

but if u make that 6th order bigger and tuned alittle lower then she could hit the lows better
