Not exactly.... here is a run down of our PM's, haven't heard from him in a couple days...
ME: Got the XXX today but the metal mounting surface is busted to shit!! There are atleast 3-4 BIG chunks that are completely missing and a few other places that are broken/dented and shit too... Did you by chance do that proper insurance coverage through UPS or just go with the $100 minimum?
I only ask because it was my understanding that this subwoofer was in great shape both cosmeticaly and functionaly (the voicecoils did test good at 2.3ohm each), If i would have known it was busted up and looked like this i honestly probably would not have came down on the cash portion of the deal...
HIM: Yeah I actually put a five hundred dollar insurance on it. I dont know man....
ME: Hit up UPS and see what they can do, they said as the shipper you are the one responsable for actualy dealing with them about it... I called them all pissed off and they said they can't do anything about it unless you call and talk to them... I will get you the pictures of damage to show them...
"showed him pictures at this time"
HIM: Well I will see what I can do man. It works okay though doesn't.
ME: Coils read good but... as i said, if i would have known about the damage (if it was there before you shipped it) than i would not have flexed so much on the cash side of things... I came down so much thinking it was in pretty cherry shape...
Well, i know you only paid $100 for the sub, which i could care less about, i mean you gat a sweet deal, that doesn't change the value. But that is an $850+ dollar amp. If i would have known of the damage i would not have cam down any lower than like $250~...
I mean, you basicaly got that amp for $210... I am trying not to be a dick or anything but apparently you knew of the damage prior to shipping and didn't bother saying anything.
HIM: Well the only thing that was wrong with it was just a small bump at the top. There wasn't any pieces missing or anything. I knew I shouldn't have went through UPS. (we now know this was obviously a lie)
Listen man...I am very sorry for inconvience. I would be more than happy to send you somemore money as soon as I can. Once again Im so sorry for the bad trade if you see it that way.
ME: "didn't reply"
HIM: You still got a kickass sub that works perfectly. Just let me make it right over a little time.
ME: What kind of time frame are we talking... I don't want you to feel like you are getting hosed or anything either but... You can see where i am coming from right?
HIM: I guess I can see where you are coming from...it just seemed like you were more interested in the performance so I thought we had a decent deal. I cant put an exact time frame on it but I will promise you that I will make it right.
ME: Well, I am very much into the performance side of it but cosmetic is important to me as well. It is going in my Cadillac so i don't want it to look nasty... As for the time frame, i am in the Army and will be leaving befor too long so... Some kind of "good faith gesture" very soon would be good.
ME: If i can't get an exact time frame atleast let me know what you plan to do to try to make it right. Not going to slam you with negative feedback or call you a scammer or anything sin ce you are willing ot try and make it right... But like i said i do leave before too long so...
Last PM sent was Wednesday, no reply since...
