Got my XXX today.... Damaged....

As i stated once... the For Sale thread was a couple months ago and that was NOT th ethread we made the deal through. Either way as I also stated he is going to try and make it right so.... I am just trying to decide what is fair...
what was your amp worth that you traded him? (not new value, unless it was, but what would you of sold it for)

I hope he does. But when buying off someone you need to dig through their history and dealings to see what they've been up to.

Just clicking a users name and viewing their threads can reveal a lot about their past sales...

average new retail value of the amp is $1100~ I have seen them on ebay for $850~

It was used but in pretty nice shape.

ANYONE HAVE GRILL IDEAS? JUST SOMETHING THAT WILL HIDE THE DAMAGE AND NOT GET COLBBERED BY THE EXCURSION?

Check them user profiles in the future. I think in every F/S thread he had, there was half *** pics of the damage. so it was no secret... But ya if he didn't let ya know ahead of time, thats pretty douchy.

since its only on the sides why not just flsuh mount it? that would hide it pretty well..

I would say he owes you some cash but how much does your old amp go for used online on the forums?? Start from there and see if you guys can work something out.

Hmmm.... never thought of that for some reason... That is a darn good idea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Also this wouldn't be such an issue but i am an M.P. in the US Army and will be leaving in about 2-months and i am not sure how long it will take him to "make it right". However as of right now he is not a "scammer" or "bad guy" in my book, just made a bad decission... He says he is willing to make it right so i cant be too hard on him. As long as he comes through

I was also thinking. If its just the extended lip of the basket i don't think that would cause to much of an issue mounting it. If you have a gasket covering the lip it would not be noticeable. But end result you did get a damaged subwoofer and are owed some money as your deal with him would have been a little different if you had knowledge of it.
