Ok i hooked it up too my 15" OZ ME and it seems like the amp doesnt have much juice? Its wired to 2@ohms so it should at least put out the rated 700rms to the sub... I have to have the level/gain up 3/4 of the way just too get the sub too move...barely? Am i doin sumn wrong here or can an amp "lose juice"?

Thanks

Got the coils wired backwards?

ok I forgot I needed to start at .5volts instead of the nine volts...im used to otherway around. But anyway the sub still doesnt move much at all? Is the amp THAT underrated?

and to the above poster...what do u mean coils wired backwards? out of phase...positive to negative and vice versa? It looks good to me...

Thanks

What's the rating on your sub? Enclosure specs?

Not trying to bag on you but those amps aren't real stellar as far as power output is concerned. As for the whole "losing juice" issue, I'm pretty sure amp's don't faulter throughout the years.

ok well the sub blew...I only had the gain 1/4 of the way up. i had two and the other was already blown...could the problem be because of the sub itself? Im sure the amp would make the sub move more than 1/4 and inch around its rated power. The sub was making noises ive never heard before...it moved for alittle bit and then sound like it bottomed out or a loud ticking noise and started to work again. I wasnt straining it in any way, all the other gains on the amp were set to the minimum and my HU settings were all neutral...I think the sub was already fukd up internally. It wouldnt surprise me...

It sounds like you had the coils out of phase or something....

if everything was set to min. you would be playing freq. 15-35 i beleive on hifonics. could be lower than the port freq?

edit: does what i said even make sense lol?

I double checked a couple time to see if it was out a phase...it wasnt...I checked the sub free air then in the box and got the same movement both times. My box is tuned to 34hz...turning it up a couple notches literally isnt going to make a difference...

So it couldnt be because the sub was faulty...already fukd up? Is out of phase the only reasonable explanation for my problem considering everything else seems fine...
